To rent the house at Lowden House Farm:

Prices are in Canadian dollars. For up-to-the-minute exchange rates, see the currency converter at www.xe.com.

By the week:

Weeks commencing:

15 May to 12 June 2010,
$975 (Canadian dollars).

19 June to 18 September 2010,
$1250 (Canadian dollars).

By the month:

$3500 for a 4 week period

Over the fall and winter:

Sept. 2010 to April 2011

Booking and cancellation policy:

Weekly bookings:
Full amount (not including damage deposit) is due at the time of booking.

If possible, payment should be made by International Postal Draft, a bank-draft in US$ or Can$, or by Paypal (please add 3% for their commission) or by direct electronic transfer to our account in Canada or the UK. We do not take credit cards. Final payment is only deemed to have been made after the draft, etc. has been bank deposited & fully cleared. Booking is then confirmed. Drafts should be sent by priority post. Please discuss which is most convenient to us both.

In the event that you need to cancel a reservation

• with less than 30 full days prior to arrival the entire fee is forfeit (but see below);
• between 30 and 60 days prior to arrival, cancellations will be subject to a 50% deduction in fee;
• greater than 60 days prior to arrival, cancellations will be subject to a $150 fee.

The reason for these deductions is that we have probably foregone other bookings in that period.

Even if the cancellation is made as a result of unfortunate or unforeseen events such as an accident, illness, bad weather, transportation disruptions, etc., we apply the same policy as do other operators of airlines, trains, concerts, etc. Taking out trip cancellation insurance is therefore highly desirable.

Should we be successful in finding another tenant prior to the date of your cancelled booking we will refund you 75% of the rent. Trust us, we WILL try to re-let on your behalf but ultimately it is your booking and we have reserved it for you.

A $250 DAMAGE DEPOSIT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF ARRIVAL WHICH IS REFUNDED AFTER INSPECTION THE DAY OF DEPARTURE or by mail within 10 days if the renters leave before the inspection.
